Goal: Define coils, provide moisture, and prevent shrinkage
Apply a generous amount to damp, sectioned hair. Use the "LOC" (Liquid, Oil, Cream) or "LCO" (Liquid, Cream, Oil) method if needed, using the gel as the "cream" or "styling" step. Finger coil, shingle, or use a curl defining brush to define coils. Diffuse on low heat or allow to air dry. Allow time to air dry. This hair type will generally use the most product. Key: Moisture is best; ensure hair is well-hydrated before applying the gel.

Goal: Define curls, reduce frizz, and provide lasting hold.
Apply a generous amount to damp, sectioned hair. Use the "praying hands" method (smoothing the gel between your palms over the hair) or scrunching to define curls. For tighter curls (3c), consider using a curl defining brush or finger coiling for added definition. Diffuse on low heat or air dry. Key: Sectioning and thorough application are crucial for defined curls.

Goal: Enhance waves, define texture, and control frizz.
Apply a moderate amount to damp hair, focusing on the waves. Scrunch the hair upwards to encourage wave formation. You can use a diffuser on low heat with a diffuser attachment to enhance waves and volume. For 2c hair, more product might be needed than 2a or 2b. Key: Focus on scrunching and diffusing to enhance natural waves.

Goal: Add light hold, shine, and tame frizz.
Apply a very small amount to damp hair, focusing on the mid-lengths and ends. Smooth the gel over the hair, avoiding the roots to prevent weighing it down. You can slightly scrunch for a subtle wave, or simply let it air dry. This hair type will use the least amount of product. Key: Use sparingly to prevent a greasy or heavy feel.
